The Midlife Metamorphosis Retreat
Midlife is a metamorphosis.
The stories we've been told about midlife are not true. It is not a decline, a fading, a time to shrink, settle, or step aside. It is a time to come more fully into yourself. Midlife is a transformative time. Sure, the changes that accompany midlife can be messy and uncomfortable. And you have the opportunity to navigate them with curiosity, tenacity and presence. This stage of life is calling your attention to the changes you get to make, consciously.
The Midlife Metamorphosis Retreat is an opportunity to reset, to find your voice, to gather with women and AFAB folks who are navigating this same passage of life and to remember that you don't have to do it alone. Our focus is to help you shed what no longer serves you and step into what does. Over the our time together, you will reclaim your energy, play with your desires, reshape your outlook, and ground in your powerful presence… not as you were, but as you're becoming.
What to expect.
Through guided experiences, restorative space, and shared wisdom you will reset from stress, burnout and midlife fatigue. One of the most quietly radical things about this retreat is the experience of being genuinely taken care of and held.
❋ Intentional StructureLed by experienced practitioners, you'll learn about what's actually happening in your mind and body during this transition that no one bothered to teach us. You will leave with practical tools for tending to the needs your body has been whispering about and the wants you may have been too busy to hear.
❋ Expert FacilitationWe will move with intention. There will be morning nature excursions to awaken and attune your body. As well as built in downtime to partake in the beautiful surroundings of the retreat property.
❋ Movement in NatureAttuning to your wants and needs is facilitated through opportunities to express yourself creatively. No prior art or craft experience is necessary to partake in the guided creative practices offered at the retreat.
❋ Creative PracticeYou'll be held in ritual and practice. This is not a productivity retreat. There are no action items or performance metrics. This is about presence, resetting your system, and releasing old stories so you can open space for the parts of yourself that are ready to come forward.
❋ RitualThe Details.
Four nights in a beautiful home surrounded by stunning views. All meals included because eating well, slowly, together, turns out to be its own kind of medicine. Curated programming with plenty of time for rest and integration. A dedicated house caretaker tends to the details making this a full un-adulting experience. Most of us have been holding everything for everyone for so long, we've forgotten what it feels like to be on the receiving end. You aren't here to optimize. You're here to be nourished, witnessed, and fed in every sense of that word. Whether it's a thoughtfully crafted workshop, a vibrant creative practice, or a perfectly balanced menu that genuinely honors your body, the logistics are handled so you can turn your attention toward what you actually came for: the slow, delicious remembering of what it feels like to be alive. This space is intentionally limited to a small group to preserve intimacy and care.
You’ll leave with…
Valuable information about the midlife journey. Practices you can return to. A renewed sense of who you are and what you want. A resourced community of people who see you. A sense of what your midlife transition asks of you and permission to answer. And most importantly, a different story about this phase of life that centers your wisdom, your aliveness, and your becoming.
You’ll connect with others embracing their midlife transformation in conversation and revelry while unwinding, learning and making together. This retreat is as much about being witnessed and held by others who understand as it is about the rich programming.
❋ CommunityThere's no right way to move through midlife. But there are ways that feel more honest, more nourished and more alive.

About Your Facilitator — Sarah Tomchesson
I didn't arrive at this work from a place of having it all figured out. I arrived from the trenches.
I'm a certified intimacy coach with nearly two decades of experience helping people reconnect with what it means to feel alive in their own bodies. I'm also a midlife parent navigating perimenopause while raising a kid going through puberty, which is equal parts hilarious and humbling. Midlife has turned my life inside out and cracked me open in ways I didn't expect. What came through that crack was a deeper understanding of presence, of myself and what it actually means to fully inhabit my life.
I've spent years writing about midlife survival, burnout recovery, and the radical practice of coming back to yourself. And not to some younger version of you, but to this version, right now. The heart of this retreat is finding your way back to the small, daily experiences that remind you who you are beneath all the roles you carry. If you've been running on empty, performing wellness while secretly wondering if this is all there is, I built this retreat for you.
This retreat is for you if you are ready to stop surviving midlife and start inhabiting it. I hope you'll join me.
